DuPage Habitat is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. We work in partnership with families and the community to build affordable housing at no profit. Our Vision: A world where everyone has a decent place to live! Our Mission: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We believe that owning a home is major milestone on the road to a family's financial success, and a key component of community's economic stability. In DuPage County approximately 2 out of 10 very low income families have access to affordable housing. At DuPage Habitat we don't address this by providing a hand out, rather we offer a hand up by enabling our partner families to achieve the pride of homeownership working side by side with community volunteers to build or repair their home.
