ADA Compliance for Snow and Ice Removal
ADA Compliance for Snow and Ice Removal
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Maintaining accessibility for people with disabilities to safely park and access facilities is important all year round. When removing snow this winter, please ensure parking lots, sidewalks, pathways and doorways are easily accessible.
Business owners, please remind your snowplow drivers not to pile snow in accessible parking spaces or block access paths. Ensure that snow and ice are fully clear from parking spaces, curb ramps and access aisles. Additionally, entrances and exits must also be kept clear to maintain accessibility for all.
Thank you for helping the City of Naperville with its commitment to ensuring that every citizen living, working or visiting Naperville is afforded access.
